The thesis deals with the course of the early intervention in children with a hearing impairment. One of the goals is to evaluate these services from the perspective of both the parents and the professionals. The theoretical part deals with the child's personality and the initial period of his/her life, including its historical concept and importance in the family. The chapter is devoted to early intervention itself, discussing its importance, objectives and legislative inclusion. Part of this work is also devoted to the history and individual ministries that provide their services to families and children with hearing impairments. The following chapters deal with the offered possibilities of education of children with a hearing impairment and diagnostics of hearing defects, as well as compensatory aids, therapy and communication systems. The practical part mainly concerns the course of evaluation of early intervention, including early care services in the Center for Children's Hearing Tamtam, o. p. s. The results of the research survey were processed from interviews with parents and early care counselors.
